Home > Services > Mobile Veterinary Clinic
In 2007 it was decided that we would expand our welfare activity to include a mobile welfare clinic that we would take out into areas of great need. This is a joint project with the Bolton RSPCA and has proved very successful.
We offer subsidised neutering at the animal centre for cats and dogs whose owners cannot afford local veterinary cost. This is available by appointment only.
Owners must declare that they are unable to afford private veterinary treatment
They must be in receipt of either Income Support, income-based Job-Seeker's Allowance or Working Tax Credit, or State Pension, or be a full-time student who is not resident at home.
Only domestic pet animals are treated. This usually includes cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs and other small rodents.
You will be requested to show your proof of eligibility whenever asked and at least every six months
What will it cost?
The clinic is non-profit making, and in fact requires subsidising by the Bury, Oldham Branch. We charge a cost price for consultations, the initial consultation fee is currently £15.00 and you will receive a wormer, flea treatment and microchip for this price. Vaccinations and medications are charged extra.
In order to keep costs down, we do not deal with accounts and do ask for payment to be made at the time of treatment.
We do not accept cheques
