Thousands of pets are lost every year and many are never reunited with their owners. The RSPCA believes that the best way to make sure you find your missing pet is to have it microchipped - implanted with a special microchip 'tag'.

Microchipping is as simple as an injection. A tiny microchip the size of a grain of rice is painlessly inserted under your pet's skin. Once in place it cannot move or be seen, but can be read by a scanner.

Microchipping is available at our Branch by appointment for a fee of £10. If you are in receipt of income related benefits please contact us for advice on help with the cost.

Please note that we receive no state aid or lottery funding; we rely solely on the generosity of local people, therefore you must live within the locality to receive any financial help from the Branch.

Watch out for us at local dog shows - we take our mobile chipping unit with us.
