Before being made ready for adoption, any animal that comes into the animal centre undergoes a ten day assessment. We evaluate the animals temperament to the best of our knowledge and all dogs are seen by a canine behaviour and training specialist.

We apologise if the animal of your choice is unsuitable for your household but these decisions are made in the animal's best long term interest.

The Bury, Oldham & District Branch Mission Statement is:

To ensure as far as is practical the HEALTH, WELFARE and QUALITY OF LIFE of all the animals in our care.

If for some reason you are unsuitable for the animal of your choice please do speak to a member of our staff and they will be happy to look at what other animals we have available that may suit you better.

Please remember we are here to help you find the most suitable animal for your lifestyle.

We recommend that you insure your animals.

Chances are your pet will lead a long and happy life. However, there is always the possibility that they will be involved in an accident or develop a serious illness. If this happens it can quickly lead to expensive vet bills amounting to hundreds or thousands of pounds. Without adequate cover, would you be able to afford the bill yourself?
