Sunderland, Hartlepool and South Tyneside Branch

Ever thought about becoming a Trustee?

Bury, Oldham and District Branch has an animal centre, 12 charity shops and 40 paid staff. We are looking for three skilled and passionate trustees who can make an impact and help us meet the challenge of ensuring the branch is efficiently and effectively run and is able to provide innovative solutions to changing animal welfare needs and ever increasing financial pressures.

Becoming a branch trustee is a great way to meet like-minded people, gain new skills or develop existing ones, while making a real difference to the lives of animals. Ideally, we are looking for trustees with expertise in the areas of fundraising, the charity retail sector, working with volunteers, business, commerce, marketing and PR. Trustees need to be committed to the RSPCA, have common sense and be willing to get involved.

Your commitment

We have monthly committee meetings (in the evening) at the Oldham animal centre. We expect trustees to also have sufficient time available to keep up to date with branch developments; to help make decisions between meetings and to attend the occasional branch event. Trustees may also like to be involved in other areas of activity such as home visiting or fund raising.
