Ringing in the new year in style, the RSPCA Bury and Oldham District Branch has opened a newly refurbished shop in Rawtenstall.

The new shop, which is located at 83 Bank Street, replaces the town’s existing RSPCA charity store from Monday, January 6.

Adding to the local retail footprint, the new shop has been fully refurbished with a trendy vintage, shabby-chic vibe and is set to offer customers an improved shopping experience with a wider range of pre-loved clothes and household items, with many designer labels and collectables now amongst its extensive range.

Retail Operations Manager, Mary Mulkeen said:

“As an independently funded charity outside of the National RSPCA, our charity shop network is a vital source of income for our branch and this fully refurbished shop in Rawtenstall is just the start of a long-term investment in our retail portfolio with many improvements planned across our network .

“Whilst we haven’t moved far from our previous location, the new store is lighter, brighter and has a wider range of quality items and we are excited to hear what people think of our new and improved look and support us and the animals in our care!”

The charity also hopes the new shop will encourage new supporters and for people to sign up as volunteers to help run and manage the new-look, new-experience store.

Mary added: “Our shop’s success relies heavily on our wonderful volunteers and we are always keen to have more people joining our retail teams. We can offer flexible shifts and a chance for all our shop-based volunteers to learn coveted new skills, develop existing ones or complete an NVQ in retail with us, we look forward to welcoming you all to our new store”.
